Für einen Satiriker bewegen sich seine Texte zu nah an der Realität, für einen scharfen Zeitanalytiker ist er zu einfühlsam, und für einen Liedermacher vertraut er zu oft auf die Klarheit melodiefreier Poesie. Und wer ihn als gewitzten Wortakrobaten würdigt, unterschlägt dabei schnell die inhaltliche Ernsthaftigkeit, die mit der sprachlichen Verspieltheit einhergeht. Um ihn treffend zu beschreiben, hilft es auch wenig, Feindlers breite Themenpalette von „Abstiegsangst“ bis „Zukunftszuversicht“ zu umreißen. Entscheidend ist, wie er seine Gedanken miteinander verknüpft. Wer Michael Feindler ist, eröffnet sich daher am ehesten live auf der Bühne.
