Dass sich ausgerechnet zu Weihnachten die Liebe unter den Menschen in einer besonders reinen Form zeige, wie ein Licht in der Dunkelheit – diese Vorstellung mag etwas aus der Mode gekommen sein. Noch weniger aber möchte man diese Zeit mit dem reinen Bösen in Verbindung bringen. Sebastian Krämer tut jedoch genau dies in seiner Erzählung „Ein Licht geht uns auf in der Dunkelheit“. Pure Bosheit, so rein wie klarer Schnaps, offenbart sich an einem zunächst vermeintlich friedvollen Weihnachtsabend in den Nuller Jahren unseres Jahrtausends unterm Tannenbaum der ostwestfälischen Familie Gryga. Die Lesung der Geschichte um kindlichen Bruderzwist und das kühle Licht einer Stabtaschenlampe wird immer wieder von Chansons unterbrochen, die man von Krämer bereits gewohnt ist.
