Gordon Brettsteiger führt ein geistig bewegtes Leben. Er ist Dozent an der Uschi-Glas-Privatuniversität wo er u.a. „Angewandte Freizeit“ und „Klassisches Abschweifen“ lehrt. Neben seiner Beratertätigkeit für das Gesellschaftsmagazin "Frühpension" ist er auch gern gesehener Gast in Talkshows oder beim Kirchentag zu Themen wie "Die Zukunft der Fahrradklingel“. Dabei ist der Universalgelehrte auf seine typisch norddeutsche Art stets wissenschaftlich fundiert, auf der Höhe der Zeit und so entwaffnend originell, dass er selbst schon mal schmunzeln muss.
Frank Smilgies ist Gordon Brettsteiger. Als eine Hälfte des Duos "Ulan& Bator" und ehemaliges Mitglied des Münchner Lach&Schieß-Ensembles tummelt er sich seit zwanzig Jahren in der Welt von Kabarett und Comedy. Dabei hat er nicht nur auf unzähligen Bühnen gestanden u.a. in Zürich, Wien, München, Hamburg, Amsterdam und Istanbul, sondern auch diverse Preise erhalten: Mit Ulan&Bator u.a. den Deutschen Kleinkunstpreis, mit dem Münchner Lach&Schieß-Ensemble den AZ-Stern des Jahres.
